Programs and Services
Advocacy and Outreach Programs
Board Members of PEN provide monthly support groups and individual support to help others deal with the anger associated with divorce and separation from family, give people a chance to talk about their experience in the courts, and to help others to understand court the process.

Media and Publications
Town hall lectures to raise social awareness about our cause and impact on a local level, and videos that provide an overview of common problems that may be faced during the separation and custody process. Topics are chosen based on feedback we receive from our clients, Board Member discussions, and potential changes in legislature that may affect parental rights.

Nonprofit Partnerships
We partner with local nonprofit organizations throughout Oregon in order to achieve our mission, and to provide the best resources to parents struggling with a custody situation. It helps organizations to leverage resources and support services, provide client referrals, and create a targeted programmatic focus through a network of professionals focused on a common goal.

Community Education and Legislative Change
In order to protect the rights of parents and families facing separation, our focus must go beyond helping individuals and groups on a limited scale to solve the issues before they escalate. Our organization is actively engaged in reviewing, proposing and helping to make changes to legislation at the County and State level, with new laws and regulations to ensure fair and safe practices within family law. We highly encourage others to speak about their experiences with us and their elected officials in an effort to change or reverse policies that infringe upon the rights of families.
