Nonprofit Partnerships

We partner with local nonprofit organizations throughout Oregon in order to achieve our mission, and to provide the best resources to parents struggling with a custody situation. It helps organizations to leverage resources and support services, provide client referrals, and create a targeted programmatic focus through a network of professionals focused on a common goal.

Creating strategic partnerships between nonprofit organizations who share the same focus can achieve a greater impact together, more than any organization could on its own. Effective partnerships can lead to increasing influence, scaling up efforts, strengthening and expanding programs and services, and streamlining operations to gain efficiencies.

Organizations can use partnerships to:

• Strengthen or expand program or service quality and performance through joint programming, including referral relationships

• Enter new geographies, provide new programs and services, or reach new clients

• Achieve greater leverage among stakeholders (ex. build awareness or advocacy)

• Provide collective monetary and volunteer resources dedicated to a specific topic or focus

• Build a network of professionals that donate knowledge and resources to the cause

• Form Collective Impact collaborations or groups to achieve greater progress on complex, systemic issues by engaging key partners to work toward a common goal

Nonprofit Partnerships must consider the following:

• Determine the strategic needs of each partner and what is desired from the collaboration

• Discuss the specific program or area of focus and establish reasonable and achievable goals

• Meet with key stakeholders to determine if areas of the programs or services would be improved by collaboration

• Determine what level of integration and length of partnership are required to achieve the goals

• Establish written contracts or agreements for any monetary obligations between all parties

• Focus on programs, services or activities with measurable results if possible
